Back again for a special occasion, OT Play returns this Heroes Weekend on Instagram to test your knowledge (and your speed) and reward you with prizes!
From the Our Today newsroom, OT Play will be awarding one lucky competitor with J$10,000 cash.
The rules are simple, be the first to answer all five (5) questions correctly and claim the prize!
This edition of OT Play comes with a special activity, and for that, we’re giving you all weekend to come up with your responses.
The winner of OT Play will be announced at 5:00 pm on Monday, October 18, Jamaica time.
How much do you really know about our seven National Heroes? Think you have what it takes? Then let’s put your ‘Jamaican-nity’ to the test!
Ready? Go!
- When was National Heroes Day first celebrated in Jamaica and when is the holiday generally observed?
- Which National Heroes were relatives and how were they related?
- Name the town that is the birthplace of the country’s first National Hero?
- What National Hero’s image is often confused/associated with Black American inventor Thomas Jennings?
- Name a significant political event/movement in which each National Hero was involved.
Special Activity: OT Play entrants must submit a selfie of themselves in front of a monument (i.e. building, road sign, statue) dedicated to a National Hero.
(NB on terms and conditions: Competitors must follow Our Today’s Instagram Page, ‘like’ the OT Play post and comment ‘#OT10K’ on the post after presenting answers and selfies via DMs)
