GM shares plans for upcoming projects
Petrojam Limited is revamping its management strategy to provide enhanced customer service as the state-owned entity attempts to bolster its position in the petroleum market.
The refinery’s new general manager, Telroy Morgan, revealed these plans during a recent breakfast meeting with Petrojam’s retail and industrial customers.
The meeting, designed to foster closer relationships with customers, was met with enthusiasm by Morgan, who emphasised its alignment with Petrojam’s core value to become customer focus.
He said: “At Petrojam, we are a customer-centric organisation, committed to understanding and meeting their needs, and this morning’s breakfast meeting is one demonstration of this commitment.”
Morgan added that such dedication to customers is pivotal for improving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and overall company success.
The Petrojam GM gave commitment to launching a customer loyalty programme, pending board approval, which is expected to be unveiled by December 2023. This initiative is aimed at rewarding loyal customers while ensuring their needs are met comprehensively.
He also outlined the company’s mid-to -long-term strategic undertakings. Petrojam plans to incorporate biofuels into its product line-up, contributing to more sustainable energy solutions. The refinery will also significantly ramp up asphalt production to over 230,000 barrels per year, and introduce a project that will integrate rubber and plastic into asphalt.
This asphalt project is currently in its preliminary stages and thus extended details about it were not provided.
