Saint Lucian Johnson Charles had a quieter ILT20 2025/26 season with the Sharjah Warriorz, wrapping up with an average of 24.40.
After his explosive 2025 campaign, he didn’t cut the tournament’s top run scorers or strike rate leaders, landing in 16th place. The season was ruled by Sam Curran, who piled up 397 runs and earned Player of the Series honours, and Muhammad Waseem, with 370 runs.
Charles’ contributions came in flashes, including a 77-run knock against MI Emirates and two innings of 43 against the Dubai Capitals and Desert Vipers. Whether these outings will boost his chances for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka remains to be seen.

Barbados’ Jason Holder had a strong showing for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, a team he led as captain. The tall all-rounder finished joint third in the wicket tally, claiming 15 wickets at an average of 16.33, including a standout 3/18 against the Dubai Capitals.
He also chipped in with some handy runs in a few matches. The team was guided by West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo as Head Coach, with Ottis Gibson assisting.
Other West Indian stars had moments to remember, too. Rovman Powell stood out with the bat, finishing 7th in overall rankings with an average of 38.42 and a top score of 96 not out.
