Filippo Marchino returns to the FIA World Rally Championship this week for Rally Islas Canarias 2026, joined by new co-driver Alexander Kihurani (USA).

This marks the next chapter in the #RallyForRecovery journey, using the global platform of rallying to carry Jamaica’s message of resilience and recovery following Hurricane Melissa.

Set against the stunning volcanic landscapes of Gran Canaria, this 50th anniversary edition of Rally Islas Canarias (April 23–26) is one of the championship’s most technical asphalt events: fast, precise, and unforgiving.

Through every stage, every corner, and every kilometre, this effort continues to highlight an important truth:

  • Recovery is ongoing
  • Support is still needed
  • And together, we can make a difference

Wishing Filippo and Alexander a safe, successful, and enjoyable rally as they take #RallyForRecovery back onto the world stage.

Reading Time: 2 minutesDancehall legend Bounty Killer is set to receive one of Kingston’s highest civic honours, as the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) moves to formally recognise his towering contribution to Jamaican music and community development.

The resolution, recently passed by the municipal body, will see the veteran deejay awarded the Key to the City of Kingston. At the same time, a road in his community of Seaview Gardens will also be renamed in his honour—a fitting tribute that recognises his legacy both in the cultural landscape and in the community that helped shape him.
