Barcelona will be without rising star Lamine Yamal for the rest of the domestic season after the teenager picked up a hamstring injury.

The 18-year-old was hurt while scoring in the 1-0 win over Celta Vigo and had to leave the field with assistance. Tests later confirmed the injury, ruling him out of LaLiga’s final stretch, including a clash with Real Madrid. Despite the setback, there is relief for Spain, with Yamal expected to recover in time for the World Cup this summer.

The youngster has been a standout performer this season, delivering goals and assists across both league and European competition. While Barcelona continue their push for the title without him, Spain will be hoping he returns at full strength for their World Cup campaign.

The resolution, recently passed by the municipal body, will see the veteran deejay awarded the Key to the City of Kingston. At the same time, a road in his community of Seaview Gardens will also be renamed in his honour—a fitting tribute that recognises his legacy both in the cultural landscape and in the community that helped shape him.
