Scope Caribbean, a newly launched influencer and talent platform, will be hosting a free virtual launch on June 3 under the topic ‘So You Want To Be An Influencer? – How Brands & Influencers Connect To Create Meaningful Brand Partnerships’.
The launch will take the form of an interactive webinar which will feature a combination of some of Jamaica’s top influencers across multiple online platforms, including Khadine ‘Miss Kitty’ Hylton, host, radio personality and brand ambassador; Rushane ‘RushCam’ Campbell, attorney and content creator; and Khalilah Reynolds, award winning journalist and business influencer.
The live webinar aims to educate established influencers as well as individuals who are considering or emerging in this creative field.
Naomi Garrick, public relations and brand strategist, as well as the moderator for the upcoming event, said: “Scope Caribbean is a platform that makes it easy for anyone who wants to use their influence and talent to partner with brands for opportunities. Signing up is free. It’s as simple as logging on to scopecaribbean.com and creating a profile. We not only want to encourage persons to sign up but, with this webinar, provide them with valuable information and guidance on areas such as personal brand building, monetising your influence, establishing an online community and finding your niche.”
The webinar fireside chat will also feature key stakeholders across industries to share from a commercial brand perspective about some of the key elements to make a brand partnership work including what brands are really looking for in influencer engagements, and what being a brand ambassador really entails.

This panel will include Nasha-Monique Douglas, chief marketing officer, Digicel Jamaica; Kimberley Lue Lim, global categories manager, GraceKennedy Foods; and Nichole Bracket Walters, group marketing & communications manager, NCB.
According to Scope Caribbean, as influencer marketing continues to grow into a multi-billion dollar industry, regional stakeholders have to find new ways to navigate the challenges which for many include; Influencers not being able to find opportunities for jobs, brands struggling to choose the right influencer for campaigns and an overall lack of structure and resources to really track and measure it all.
Scope Caribbean said it hopes to fill that gap by connecting brands with influencers and influencers with opportunities.
