Midas Entertainment and 8 Rivaz Ultra Lounge are preparing to close the summer season in style with Sophisticated: The Summer End Beach Party, set for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Plantation Cove in St. Ann. Running from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sophisticated will bring together beachside energy, summer fashion, dancehall music and premium hospitality for patrons ready to celebrate the final weekend of the season.

Dancehall artiste Vanessa Bling will lead the entertainment line-up, bringing her distinctive style, catalogue and stage presence to Plantation Cove. Music will also come from Trippple X, Bishop Escobar and Illusion Sound, who will guide the party through an evening of dancehall favourites, current hits and crowd-moving selections.

Patrons arriving early will enjoy mixed drinks included with admission between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The offering forms part of an experience designed to move naturally from a relaxed afternoon gathering into a high-energy dancehall party as the evening progresses.

“Sophisticated is built around the natural rhythm of the evening. Before sunset, patrons can settle into the setting, enjoy the music and make the most of the hospitality. After dark, the energy rises and the event becomes a full dancehall experience. That shift is what gives the event its identity and allows us to offer two distinct moods in one night,” said Stefan Ebanks, Director of Midas Entertainment.

Plantation Cove provides the setting for that transition, allowing guests to enjoy the north coast atmosphere, connect with friends and express their personal style before the pace of the event intensifies after sunset.

Sophisticated forms part of Midas Entertainment’s summer-end campaign, which positions the beach party and Capleton Encore Live: Culture Rising as two major entertainment attractions closing the summer calendar.

Tickets are J$5,000 pre-sold and J$6,000 at the gate. They are available from authorised outlets across St. Ann, Kingston and Montego Bay, including 8 Rivaz Ultra Lounge, Fesco Ocho Rios, Greenhouse at Taj Mahal, Di Trends Bargain Mall and Fontana Pharmacy, among others.

Sophisticated will open what Midas Entertainment is presenting as Jamaica’s summer finale weekend. The celebrations will continue at Plantation Cove on Sunday, August 30, with Capleton Encore Live: Culture Rising, featuring Capleton, Nesbeth and acclaimed saxophonist Dean Fraser.

The two events will offer patrons contrasting but connected experiences. Sophisticated will begin the weekend with a beach party driven by dancehall, fashion and lifestyle, while Encore Live will close it with a live reggae showcase celebrating Jamaican music and culture.
