The “Real Rich” dancehall artist known as Tanto Blacks returns to the music scene with his latest single titled ‘Rich Carpenter’.
Released on February 5th by upcoming producer Polabeatz and RichBlood876 from the UK, ‘Rich Carpenter’ will have an accompanying music video which features former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle.
The official music video made an exclusive premiere on CVM TV’s Onstage program on Saturday, March 28th. Tanto Blacks will also be making a special appearance, signalling his return to the dancehall music scene.
Though previously known for his witty catch phrases, humor and gimmicks, Tanto Blacks approaches ‘Rich Carpenter’ with a different style and motivational message. The music video, however, expresses the outlandish and extravagant persona everyone knows and loves from Tanto Blacks. Chris Gayle adds his own influence and flair to the vibrant visuals that highlight and stay true to his lavish and “rich” lifestyle.
When asked about his connection to Chris Gayle, Tanto Blacks responded, “Chris is a longtime friend of mine. Our connection is real and built on loyalty. Having him in the ‘Rich Carpenter’ video felt natural because the song is about living authentically and building something meaningful.”

“I watch how people like Chris move from cricket to business and apply that same approach to my own life and music. ‘Rich Carpenter’ is about growth, elevation and becoming your own boss in a real way,” Tanto Blacks continued.
With management, production and overall support coming from Polabeatz and RichBlood876, Tanto Blacks now has a team that is committed to take him to another level in his career. After a highly publicised fall from off the stage during a performance which left Tanto Blacks feeling humbled, ‘Rich Carpenter’ provides a necessary reset to catapult his comeback in a more strategically calibrated manner.
RichBlood876 and Polabeatz explained, “This is a reset and a rise. Tanto Blacks is entering a new chapter, fully focused, motivated, driven and surrounded by the right team. ‘Rich Carpenter’ is just the beginning!”
Fans, old and new, can expect a consistent flow of music and content from Tanto Blacks on his social and streaming media platforms, reflecting his evolution while staying true to who he is.
