

Defending champions Kingston College and perennial rivals Jamaica College scored identical 4-0 wins as the second phase of the ISSA Wata Manning Cup kicked off on Tuesday.
Kingston College (KC) easily dispatched Haile Selasssie 4-0 at the Stadium East field and lead Zone B with a maximum of 24 points from eight games.
The Famed Purples are through to the second round of 16 teams and should be joined by Tivoli Gardens, which edged Charlie Smith 3-2. Tivoli Gardens are second in Zone B with 19 points, four clear of Charlie Smith, sitting in third on 15 points.
Jamaica College (JC), playing at home, destroyed Vauxhall High 4-0 after battling to a 1-1 draw last week. JC moved to 20 points, in second spot in Zone C, while Vauxhall remained in third on 16 points. St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) lead the group with 22 points after whipping Camperdown High 4-0. Camperdown are fourth on 12 points.
Meanwhile, at the Mico University College field, Calabar continued their dominance of Wolmer’s Boys, winning 2-1 in their Zone E action. In the first round, Calabar won 4-1. Calabar all but sealed their second round spot, moving to 21 points, the same as zone leader Mona High, which whipped Ascot 9-0 but leads with a better goal difference.
Wolmer’s Boys are third with 15 points, and Ascot sit in fourth with 10.
Last season’s beaten finalists, St Catherine High, remained perfect in Zone D, blanking Norman Manley 2-0 to be on 24 points.
Eltham High trounced Campion College 6-1 and maintained their second spot with 21 points and advanced to the second round, while Campion are third on 12 points and will be hoping to advance as one of the best third-placed teams.
