US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has congratulated Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness on his re-election during a telephone conversation yesterday.

In the conversation, Secretary Rubio reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing shared priorities. 

Rubio thanked Prime Minister Holness for Jamaica’s leadership in promoting stability in the region and underscored Jamaica’s strong partnership with the United States on countering transnational organised crime.

Both Rubio and Dr Holness say they look forward to continuing collaborative efforts to enhance security and stability in our hemisphere.
