
Waterhouse Football Clubhas announced the appointment of Javier Ainstein as the club’s new head coach, effective immediately.
Ainstein, an Argentinian national, is a UEFA A-licensed coach with over 15 years of coaching experience across the CONMEBOL and CONCACAF regions.
Widely respected for his tactical insight and player development acumen, Ainstein has followed and studied the Jamaica Premier League for several years and has already settled quickly into the club’s culture at its Drewsland base.
Currently sitting eighth in the Jamaica Premier League standings, the Waterhouse FC Board of
Directors made the strategic decision to look beyond local borders to inject fresh energy, perspective, and ambition into the team as it targets a strong second half of the season.
“This is one of our stated objectives for the season and we intend to achieve it,” said Donovan White, President of the Waterhouse FC.
“We believe Coach Ainstein brings the experience, discipline, and competitive mindset required to reenergise the squad and make a serious push for one of the three CONCACAF qualification places available this year.”
Chairman Bruce Bicknell echoed this confidence, highlighting the club’s intent to strengthen strategically during the current transfer window. “We intend to use this transfer window wisely, in consultation with Coach Ainstein, to improve the overall quality and balance of the squad,” Bicknell remarked. “Our focus is firmly on climbing the points table and meeting our stated objectives for the season.”
Coach Ainstein’s appointment signals Waterhouse FC’s continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and international best practices as the club seeks to build on its proud legacy and return to the pinnacle of regional competition.
Waterhouse FC will next be in action this Sunday at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium, featuring in the second game of a double-header at 7:30 pm. They face defending champions Cavaliers SC in what promises to be a highly anticipated Jamaica Premier League encounter.
