The data, as presented by Google Trends, indicate that the two countries, as well as Puerto Rico, are the only Caribbean islands that ranked in the 71-country analysis.
Both Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica dropped one place each to fourth and sixth with interest levels at 45 and 35 respectively, while Puerto Rico’s spot was unchanged at seventh, also at an interest level of 35.
According to Google, its country rankings are based on search interest relative to the highest point on the chart for the given region and time.
Google Trends further disclosed that the data represents the popularity of any given topic over the last 12 months, with this period ending on May 12, 2022.
“A value of 100 is the peak popularity for the term. A value of 50 means that the term is half as popular. A score of 0 means there was not enough data for this term,” Google indicated.
