The 36-year-old pop sensation, Rihanna, was spotted in all her bedazzled glory at the Crop Over festival road march in Bridgetown on August 5.
She was at the Grand Kadooment parade, adorned in a gold and bronze assemble complete with orange, pink, yellow, red and brassy-toned feathers. She was with the popular Crop Over band, Aura Experience.
Rihanna was joined by Nigerian musician Ayra Starr. The two were seen hugging as they revelled in the festivities, which left fans speculating about a collaboration between the two artistes.

Of course, this isn’t Rihanna’s first Crop Over and the singer has been photographed multiple times participating in the celebration since 2011.
Crop Over originated in the 1780s when Barbados was the world’s largest sugar producer. At the end of the sugar season, grand celebrations marked the end of a successful sugar cane harvest. The celebrations declined as the sugar market became absolute in Barbados but the festival was revived in 1974 and modern elements of Barbadian culture were later introduced.
Annual Crop Over celebrations usually run from July 31 to August 6.
Celebrities like Chloe Bailey also participated in summer Caribbean festivities like St Lucia’s annual carnival. She played mas with the Legends Carnival Band and dropped her carnival costume pictures on July 16. She recorded her latest album Trouble in Paradise, in St Lucia, which is now dubbed as her “favourite island”.
