
Fans of the late reggae icon Gregory Isaacs are being treated to fresh material with the release of a new project from UK-based Stingray Records.
The set, titled At Stingray Studio, features six previously unreleased tracks recorded in London at Stingray Studio before Isaacs’ passing. The project is produced by C&R McLeod of Stingray Records and is now available on all major digital platforms, distributed globally by Tuff Gong International.

Known worldwide as “The Cool Ruler,” Isaacs remains one of Jamaica’s most influential and beloved reggae voices. Born in 1951 in Kingston, he rose to prominence in the 1970s with a string of hits that defined the lovers rock era. Songs such as “Night Nurse,” “Love Is Overdue,” and “Soon Forward” cemented his status as a master of smooth, emotionally charged vocals layered over deep reggae rhythms.
Throughout his decades-long career, Isaacs recorded more than 500 albums and became a global ambassador for Jamaican music, performing extensively across Europe, North America and Africa. His signature laid-back delivery and romantic songwriting style earned him an enduring fan base and the enduring title of “The Cool Ruler.”
The release of At Stingray Studio offers listeners a rare glimpse into previously unheard recordings from one of reggae’s greatest voices. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, the project serves as both a nostalgic reminder of Isaacs’ timeless artistry and a continuation of his musical legacy.
