Luka Doncic  made 42 points as the Lakers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-113, breaking Kobe Bryant’s 20 year record for most points in a calendar month for Los Angeles. Doncic finished March with 579 points, surpassing Bryant’s 578 set back in 2006, and adding to a month that included his 60 point game against the Miami Heat—the first Lakers player to hit that mark since Bryant.

LeBron James also made history, reaching 1,229 combined regular season and playoff wins, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record. With the win over Cleveland, the Lakers remain third in the Western Conference, already locked in for the playoffs and crowned Pacific Division champions after Phoenix fell to Orlando.
