Seven parties to be staged August 5 to 9
With COVID cases spiking across Jamaica and Prime Minister Andrew Holness announcing the possibility of a third wave of the virus, measures have been taken to contain people over the next two weeks, therefore reducing the escalation of infections.
The new curfews have not deterred Dream Entertainment from pressing ahead with its plans to host multiple parties over the upcoming holiday period.
No doubt it will do its best to abide by protocols and ensure the safety of its patrons who are expected to flock to these events
“Jamaica is a party country and we do it good. We have been locked up too long and promoters must make money and eat-a-food.
“People want to enjoy themselves. COVID is like flu – take two Panadol and it gone. Andrew must let the ting run. Jamaicans must enjoy ourselves in these times,” said a leading party promoter who maintains the spread was not caused by the opening up of the entertainment sector.
Last night, Dream tweeted: “Dream Weekend has been approved by ODPEM to stage seven events in Negril from August 5 to 9. Based on the revised curfews we will post the adjusted event times by end of day tomorrow July 27th.”
