Frazsiers Whip won their fourth consecutive Jamaica Women’s Premier League crown beating Arnett Gardens 2-0 in the final at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Saturday.
Jennifer Williams was the star, scoring twice in the 12th and 68th minutes as Frazsiers Whip continued their dominance of the league and finished the season unbeaten.
Frazier Whips cemented their place in Jamaican women’s football joining the likes of Barbican FC that won nine straight between 2008 and 2016. The Courtney Dowdie coach team walked away with $350,000. Arnett Gardens collected $250,000.
Christina Salmon of Frazsiers Whip with 24 goals won the Golden Boot while her teammate Jennifer Williams was The MVP as Frazsiers whip swept the individual awards with the Golden Glove going to Italya Robinson.
Speaking following the final, Christina Hudson, Chairperson of Professional Women’s Football Jamaica Limited (PWFJL), hailed the progress made throughout the season.
“This season has demonstrated the tremendous potential that exists within women’s football in Jamaica. We have seen increased competitiveness, stronger stakeholder engagement, and outstanding performances from our players and clubs. Congratulations to Frazsiers Whip on a remarkable achievement, and to every club that contributed to making this one of our most successful seasons to date.”
Carlene Edwards, Chairperson of the Marketing and Commercialisation Affairs Committee, highlighted the league’s continued growth and expanding reach.
“This season represented another significant step forward for the Jamaica Women’s Premier League. Through the support of the JFF, our sponsors, production & streaming partner, clubs, and fans, we have been able to increase the visibility of the competition and create greater opportunities for our players. The success of this season reinforces the value of investing in women’s football, and we remain committed to building a stronger, more sustainable platform for the growth of the game.”
The PWFJL extends sincere appreciation to its sponsors, partners, clubs, players, coaches, officials, volunteers, media representatives, and supporters whose collective efforts contributed to another successful season.
As celebrations continue for the newly crowned champions, attention now turns to building on the momentum generated throughout the 2025/26 campaign and continuing the advancement of women’s football across Jamaica.
