This was the second staging of the annual showcase that took place yesterday (September 18).

To add an interesting twist, Pink Fox featured elements of Caribbean fusion and afro beats in his cover.

He shared that he got into music because he wanted to explore and see how far his love for it would take him.

He added that Caribbean Rhythm has given him a platform to share his music and meet other artiste, noting he is grateful for the exposure.

Dancehall artiste Kraff also represented Jamaica.

Kraff performed his hit song, OG Bobby Johnson, which has been trending in Jamaica for more than two weeks.

He also debuted a new song, entitled Stalag, in an energetic performance that showcased some of his best dance moves.

“I didn’t get into music, music came to me and I grasped it and mold it the way my thoughts were reflecting,” said the dancehall artiste.

Adding to the mix of talented Jamaicans who graced the stage was Indie Allen.

“Music is a powerful thing, powerful force that can be used to change people’s lives and that’s something that I firmly believe in as a family man and as someone who believes that love conquers all- that’s what I want to contribute to the world,”said Allen.

Indie Allen

Jumping out of the shadows, Allen sent shockwaves through the stage when he performed Give Me a Try by reggae icon Sizzla, showcasing his beautiful falsetto voice throughout.

Allen also performed his song, Wanted, rocking and grooving to the beat of sweet reggae music as he hit all the high notes.

Closing out the list of Jamaicans who performed last night was Lex MD, who, like most of his peers, signed up for the exposure the showcase would bring.

Lex shared that “music was not something that was chosen but gifted from birth and it was something that I accepted”.

Opening his performance, Lex recited poetry, setting the mood for his song, Humanity, that reflected on the struggle for equality, humanity and its lack of love.
