Three listening parties later and the Genius has done it again.
Kanye West on Sunday (September 5) landed his 10th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts, after his latest album, Donda, debuted atop the list with the year’s biggest week for an album.
According to Billboard, with 309,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending September 2, West surpassed Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour, which previously held the title with 295,000 units in the week ending June 5.
West is now one of only seven artistes with at least 10 No. 1 albums in the 65-year history of the Billboard 200 chart.

At present The Beatles hold the record of most No. 1s with 19 and they are followed by Jay-Z with 14, Bruce Springsteen and Barbara Streisand with 11 and Eminem and Elvis Presley with 10.
Since its August 29 release, Donda has racked up more than 775 million global streams, with more than 442 million on Spotify and 242 million on Apple Music worldwide, according to the record label.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the US based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
