

Kingston College (KC) and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) were crowned champions of the ISSA Under-16 Cricket urban and rural champions with wins over Norman Manley and Vere Technical High School, respectively, on Tuesday.
KC defeated Norman Manley High by four wickets, while STETHS defeated Vere by two wickets.
At Melbourne Oval in Kingston, Norman Manley batted first and were bundled out for 70 in 38.4 overs with Shamari Foster top scoring with 24.
KC’s national Under-15 player Rajay McGeachy single-handedly destroyed Norman Manley, taking an impressive 9-38 with his off spinners. The 13-year-old McGeachy, who had an outstanding season, returned and led KC to 71-6 in 25.2 overs, smashing an unbeaten 35 not out.
Nickel Franson took 2-22 and Najay Anderson 2-20 for Norman Manley.

It was KC’s first cricket title in 23 years as the school continues to celebrate its 100th anniversary with another title.
At Sir P Oval in May Pen, STETHS continued their dominance of schoolboy cricket with yet another title after winning the Under-19 crown. Vere Technical made 170 with Talbert Wallace top scoring with 28 not out, while Royton Bailey made 23 and Deshaun Smith chipped in with 21.
Bowling for STETHS, Ryan Lyttleton captured 3-11, Jerome Taylor 1-22 and Juwayne Lawson 2-38.
Lyttleton then followed up by spanking 70 not out as STETHS reached 173-8. Talbert Wallace took 5-25.

KC and STETHS will meet in the all-island final to determine the best Under-16 cricket team in the country.
