Sold-Out concert for Lauderhill’s Jamaica Independence Celebration

Veteran singer Marcia Griffiths and dancehall veteran Beenie Man are the headliners for this year’s Jamaica Independence celebration in Lauderhill, Florida.
The sold-out event will be held at The Lauderhill Performing Arts Centre on August 8 and is presented by Jamaican-born Mayor Denise Grant and Commissioner John T Hodgson.
Mayor Denise Grant says, “ We are pleased to announce that our August 8th Jamaica 64th Independence Celebration featuring the legendary Marcia Griffiths and Beenie Man is officially SOLD OUT.
She continued, “This is credited to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our entire City team, production partners, and sponsors who worked to create a sophisticated, theatre-style experience worthy of this historic celebration.”
The mayor added, “We thank our community for your overwhelming support and look forward to an unforgettable evening celebrating Jamaica’s independence.”
